Oceana is the largest international organization dedicated solely to ocean conservation. Oceana is rebuilding abundant and biodiverse oceans by winning science-based policies in countries that control one-quarter of the world’s wild fish catch. With more than 350 victories that stop overfishing, habitat destruction, oil and plastic pollution, and the killing of threatened species like turtles, whales, and sharks, Oceana’s campaigns are delivering results.

Friends of the Ocean is a limited-edition print and apparel collection launching on World Oceans Day, to raise funds and awareness for Oceana.
Our oceans are under unprecedented threat. For decades, the impact of human activity on the oceans has been growing - from climate change, overfishing, pollution, and habitat and coastal destruction. Each year, fishing gear kills or injures millions of marine animals as bycatch, while plastic pollution, ocean acidification, and rising sea temperatures are pushing entire ecosystems to the brink.
For Friends of the Ocean, Dinkin has made three new limited-edition prints and designed two silkscreen print T-shirts and a large canvas beach bag.
Sales will support Oceana’s advocacy campaigns, which include safeguarding marine wildlife, like whales and turtles threatened as bycatch in the Pacific Ocean, and protecting California’s coastline from major threats like oil and plastic pollution.
“I grew up in Santa Monica, walking distance from the ocean. From a young age, I developed a love affair with the water and the species that inhabit and surround it. The ocean’s ecosystems and species are so resilient. We just have to give them a sliver of a chance, we have to fight for the ocean, and we need organizations like Oceana to protect and maintain its magic, biodiversity and beauty.” — Andie Dinkin.
